Charity Partnerships Aikens Lake Wilderness Lodge is again proud to have paired with numerous charities to offer opportunities to raise funds for a host of important foundations. In 2019, our fishing trip donations cumulatively generated more than $60,000 for these charities. Joining in these trips with the successful bidders were numerous celebrity hosts who paired up with Aikens Lake Wilderness Lodge and the various foundations to build upon the fundraising value. Thank you to all parties who supported the causes. Your generosity is paramount to the success of each of our charity partners. All of Aikens Lake Wilderness Lodge’s guests contribute to the Nature Enhancement Fund (NEF, formerly HAPF). We are proud to be the largest contributor to this important outdoorsman & woman fund. The fund, which is governed by the Manitoba Lodges and Outfitters Association, sponsors projects and initiatives that protect, nurture and improve resource-based opportunities for visitors and residents of Manitoba. To mark the occasion, our current ownership group thought it wise to throw a huge Christmas party, so we invited all the staff and volunteers from 1989 to present to attend. In all, we had over 200 people attend. It was an amazing evening full on fun and longtime friends reconnecting. We are already looking forward to the next landmark to see all these special people once again!
